Two elderly people were arrested and hospitalized after a dispute over cardboard that escalated in Tsuen Wan early Tuesday morning.

At 5.18am, an 80-year-old woman surnamed Sze and a 71-year-old man surnamed Chan engaged in a physical altercation at the junction of Chuen Lung Street and San Tsuen Street.
During the conflict, Chan allegedly used his belt to attack Sze. In response, Sze reportedly used a box cutter, approximately 10 centimeters in length, to retaliate.
Police were called to the scene, and after a preliminary investigation, Sze was arrested on suspicion of wounding, while Chan was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Sze sustained injuries to her mouth, and Chan suffered facial injuries. Both were conscious when they were transported to Yan Chai Hospital for medical treatment.
The case has been referred to the Tsuen Wan police district for further investigation.
