The Hong Kong Housing Society has launched two subsidized sales flat projects, Hemma Fab, located on Jockey Club Road in Fanling, and Hemma Emerald on Anderson Road in Kwun Tong. Applications opened on Tuesday, with many hopefuls submitting ballots to secure their dream homes.
A citizen surnamed Lee visited the Housing Society's application center on Wun Sha Street in Tai Hang to submit a white form application for her 23-year-old son. She explained that their family currently resides in private housing in Tai Po, but she hopes her son can live closer to the city center in the future. As such, they are applying for a one-person unit at Hemma Emerald in Kwun Tong and have set aside a substantial amount for the down payment.
Another prospective applicant surnamed Ho stated that she is currently living in transitional housing in Tsuen Wan and has been on the waiting list for public housing for 3 years. She is interested in Hemma Emerald, located on Anderson Road in Kwun Tong. This time, she is applying for a two-person unit with a green form to live with her daughter and believes that Kwun Tong is conveniently located.
A total of 1,604 units are available across these two projects, with the application period closing on the 14th of this month. The results are expected to be announced in June, with flat selection scheduled for the fourth quarter.
