An alleged indecent assault on Sunday night had ended up with three men getting arrested after the victim’s boyfriend confronted the suspected culprits, with the confrontation turning physical.
Police responded to MTR’s Admiralty station after receiving the report at around 8pm, with preliminary investigations suggesting that a mainland Chinese man Zhu, 35, had indecently assaulted a 25-year-old woman.
It was said that the woman’s boyfriend, 34-year-old Lam, confronted Zhu and his friend, 40-year-old Ding, during which the boyfriend and Ding engaged in a physical altercation.
Both Ding and the boyfriend sustained minor injuries during the altercation.
Police later arrested Zhu on suspicion of indecent assault, while his friend Ding was arrested for common assault. The boyfriend, meanwhile, was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
