While the weather will gradually brighten up over the weekend due to the moderating northeast monsoon, a temperature difference of 9 degrees is anticipated on Sunday, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.

The Observatory forecast clear and dry weather on Thursday (Mar 20), with temperatures ranging from 16 to 24 degrees, accompanied by moderate east to northeasterly winds.
Additionally, the weather watchdog said the weather will remain cool and dry on Friday morning (Mar 21) with temperatures between 17 to 25 degrees.
Meanwhile, under the influence of an anticyclone aloft, fine weather with a significant day-night temperature difference is expected in the coming days.
According to the nine-day weather forecast, the lowest temperature will be 18 degrees on Sunday (Mar 23), with a temperature difference of around 9 degrees between day and night.
With winds along the Guangdong coast weakening early to mid-next week, hot daytime temperatures and reduced visibility are predicted in some areas.
The forecaster said hot weather is closing in from Monday (Mar 24), with the highest temperature reaching around 28 degrees.
Meanwhile, a new northeast monsoon is expected to arrive in southern China later next week, which will bring in a few showers and temperatures as low as 17 degrees on Saturday (March 29).
