According to a video posted by "SaiDorSi" on YouTube on Tuesday (Mar 11), he booked a car through the ride-hailing platform Didi near Shenzhen North railway station in October last year. During the ride, the driver behaved aggressively, honking excessively and accelerated to speeds over 70 to 80 kilometers per hour.
Before driving onto the highway, "SaiDorSi" urged the driver to slow down only to heighten the driver's agitation. After repeated reminders, the driver stopped the car at a fire station and ordered the influencer to get out, ultimately refusing to continue the ride.
The driver then got out of the car to push and curse at "SaiDorSi", and even spat in his face before leaving.
The YouTuber later reported the incident to the police, and the officers asked the driver to apologize to the influencer. The driver explained that he was tired and eager to get home.
Additionally, the platform provided coupons as compensation and planned to revoke the driver's eligibility to take orders.
