Cold front brings temperatures down to 13 degrees on Fri

The Observatory reminded the public that temperatures will drop significantly starting Wednesday (Mar 4) as the cold front over inland Guangdong is expected to move across the coastal areas tonight.

The weather watchdog noted that the latter part of this week will be rather cool, with the lowest temperature dropping to 13 degrees in urban areas on Friday and one to two degrees lower in parts of the New Territories.

It is forecast that temperatures will rise gradually early next week as the northeast monsoon is expected to be replaced by an easterly airstream.
