The government launched a new round of HYAB Thematic Youth Internship Programs to the Mainland, providing more than 110 positions in cultural preservation, nature conservation, and scientific research.
The Scheme aims to encourage young people to gain a deeper understanding of national development and global trends by offering high-quality summer internship placements.
Participants will be able to work at prestigious institutions, including the Palace Museum, the Wolong Region of the Giant Panda National Park, and Wuyishan for Biodiversity Conservation.
Three academies including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dunhuang Academy, and Laoshan National Laboratory at Qingdao will also offer opportunities under this program.
The internships will run from June to August this year, lasting between three to six weeks, during which participants will gain unique work experience by undertaking various training and research projects under the guidance of experts.
Applicants must be full-time post-secondary students with a Hong Kong permanent identity card or a local full-time post-secondary student holding a Hong Kong identity card.
Apart from internships, the organizations will also provide training, field trips and other cultural exchange activities for participants, enabling them to experience the achievements of the country in various fields.
