A man was arrested in Kowloon City after attempting to evade police inspection and injuring a police officer while riding an electric bike.

The incident occurred around 8pm on Saturday (Feb 15), when the man delivering takeaway food in Kowloon City lost control of his electric bicycle while making a turn on Sung Wong Toi Road.
The man crashed into a police motorcycle and subsequently injured a police officer.
However, the electric bike continued to rush forward until it overturned at 31 Sung Wong Toi Road.
Other police officers immediately stepped in to subdue the man.
It is reported the injured officer suffered abrasions and was conscious when transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
According to the police, officers spotted a 48-year-old man surnamed Hon riding an electric bicycle on the pedestrian path at 8.29pm.
The officer approached Hon for questioning, but he allegedly resisted and fled on his electric bicycle, injuring a male police officer during the process.
The police mentioned the man repeatedly apologized to them after being arrested.
Following a preliminary investigation, the man was arrested on suspicion of multiple offenses including resisting arrest, driving without a valid driving license, operating a motor vehicle without third-party insurance, driving a motor vehicle on a pedestrian road and driving without a helmet.
