Pigeon’s wing suspectedly clipped by abuser in Wan Chai

A pigeon with a torn wing was found unable to fly on Tai Yuen Street in Wan Chai on Wednesday (Feb 12), as its left wing was suspected of being illegally clipped.

Police received the report around 4 pm, and staff from the Hong Kong Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals retrieved the bird for treatment. 

The case has been classified as cruelty to animals and is being handled by the Wan Chai District Investigation Team.

No arrests have been made so far.
