A man was hospitalized after experiencing a seizure following his consumption of sushi at a mall in Sai Wan Ho on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred shortly before 4 pm today at the Tai On Building mall, where a man in his 30s was eating sushi. He suddenly collapsed, suffering from a seizure and a disturbance in consciousness. Residents nearby and a staff member from a clinic immediately administered first aid.
Rescue workers were called to the scene. By the time they arrived, the man had regained consciousness and was transported to Eastern Hospital for further medical evaluation.
An employee of the sushi shop, surnamed Law, reported that the man had been eating sashimi and sushi rolls inside the store and appeared normal during his meal. However, after finishing his meal and disposing of his trash, he unexpectedly collapsed convulsing and was visibly disoriented.
Upon witnessing the incident, the employee quickly sought help from a nearby shop, and a clinic doctor who overheard the commotion came forward to assist.
After receiving initial medical attention, the man tried to leave the area on his own but was restrained by bystanders until rescue workers could take him to the hospital.
The employee mentioned that the man had been a regular customer and had not previously exhibited any unusual behavior during his visits.
