A video circulating on social media Threads shows a man at a Mannings store arguing with a female staff member at the checkout counter.
Despite the staff’s explanation that he did not present a valid receipt, he continued to demand an exchange, ignoring her responses.
The argument began in Cantonese, but the angry man later resorted to yelling and insulting the staff in English, saying, "You are too junior!" according to the witness who posted the video.
The man insisted on contacting the area manager and directed further insults at the staff in English.
Another employee attempted to intervene, but the customer remained uncooperative, insisting that the receipt of another purchase was sufficient for the exchange.
Netizens criticized the man's behavior, noting that speaking English does not make him superior, and emphasized that exchange policies requiring a receipt are standard practice.
