Bernadette Linn celebrates LNY with elderly residents in Kwai Chung, promotes healthy living

Secretary for Development Bernadette Linn Hon-ho recorded heartfelt video messages of blessings and engaged with two elderly residents as she visited Kwai Fong Estate in Kwai Chung on Sunday. 

Her visit aimed to share festive joy and celebrate the Lunar New Year with grassroots citizens.

In a Facebook post, Linn said the elderly residents' emphasis on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and praised the Community Care Team for their dedicated efforts.

“Both of them exemplify healthy living by engaging in regular exercise suited to their capabilities, participating in community activities, maintaining a cheerful mindset, and demonstrating a willingness to seek assistance when necessary,” she wrote.

Linn said the Development Bureau will continue to focus on land development while embracing bold innovations in planning, land grants, and implementation modes.

“We will leverage the capabilities of the Northern Metropolis as a development engine to provide Hong Kong with ample opportunities to enhance its developmental momentum and improve the quality of life for all citizens,” she said.
