Visiting Sha Tau Kok made easier with new online application for mainlanders

Shenzhen’s immigration authorities announced on Wednesday that mainland residents can apply for a one-time pass online to visit Sha Tau Kok Frontier Closed Area starting January 26.

It said the move could further facilitate entry and exit at the border area, known as the Shatoujiao Administrative Area in the mainland.

Mainland residents can apply for a one-time pass through a designated WeChat mini-program.

Each WeChat user can submit a maximum of 10 applications per day through the mini-program, with each application allowing for the simultaneous processing of passes for up to 5 individuals.
