The court heard that the 30-year-old dancer filed an employment compensation claim against his former employer, Studiodanz Company Limited, after the accident.
District Judge Phillis Loh Lai-ping granted Li's request to amend the employees' compensation claims application and postpone the trial to February 21 next year, during which both parties can submit their documents for the proceedings.
The judge also expressed concern about the progress of Li's personal injury litigation. The claimants revealed that the legal proceedings have not yet formally commenced, as they plan to wait for the trial of the related criminal case.
No representative appeared in court today on behalf of the respondent.
Studiodanz Company was recently fined HK$132,000 over the accident for violating the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance.
