One fell sick after suspected gas leak at Pok Fu Lam secondary school

A suspected chemical gas leak occurred in the chemistry lab at Caritas Wu Cheng-Chung Secondary School in Pok Fu Lam this morning (Oct 8), where a female staff member reported feeling unwell after inhaling the gas. 

Police were alerted to the college at around 9.21 am, and the Fire Services Department dispatched a Hazmat Pod and multiple fire trucks to the school.

The affected staff member did not require hospitalization.

The principal of the school had previously said that the school was scheduled to merge with Caritas Charles Vath College in September this year. Consequently, the campus currently has no students present, with only staff members in attendance for a meeting.
