The suspected outbreak of food poisoning affected 14 members of the 100-member tour group from Jiangxi. They were said to have developed abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting after having a lobster dinner in To Kwa Wan on Monday night.
The group filed a report with authorities when they were shopping at a Kowloon City Road shop this afternoon.
Over 10 ambulances and the Mobile Casualty Treatment Centre were dispatched to the scene by the Fire Services Department. Among the 14 members who sought medical assistance, 11 of them were brought to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. All of them were conscious when hospitalized.
