With an increase of HK$29 for language subjects and HK$19 for other subjects, the latest fees for these examinations are HK$747 and HK$499, respectively.
In other words, a 2025 DSE school candidate taking six subjects, including two language subjects and four other subjects, will have to pay a total amount of HK$3,490 for the examinations.
The registration fee for private students will increase from HK$550 to HK$572, while the registration fee for designated mainland examination centers will be HK$2,059.
The HKEAA noted that the examination fee adjustment has considered several factors, including the affordability of the examination fees for candidates and parents, the operation costs of public examinations, the local economic situation, and the Authority’s overall financial position.
It also urged economically disadvantaged candidates to apply for fee waivers through the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency.
Registration for the DSE subjects under Categories A, B, and C for the 2025 exams will commence in September of this year, with further details to be announced later.
