One of the highlights of the festival is the Hong Kong Artisan Avenue, allowing visitors to explore the city’s traditional crafts and unique cultural experiences.
The interactive art installation features six local crafts, most of which have been officially recognized as part of the city’s intangible cultural heritage – namely, flower board crafting, Hong Kong–style milk tea, Chinese dim sum, bamboo steamer and mahjong tile making, as well as the “Lee Hon Kong Kai” calligraphy. Alongside actual products provided by local masters, there are life-sized replicas for plenty of photo opportunities.
Visitors can also create their own postcards of Hong Kong street scenes using stamps made with the “Lee Hon Kong Kai” fonts, and get luggage stickers designed by the famous local illustrator Don Mak.
The installation is located at the airport’s arrivals hall B at Terminal 1 and will be put on display from today until October 31.
