Citybus on Tuesday announced the headline pay increase rate for all its colleagues, and a minimum pay rise of no less than HK$810 will be offered to frontline employees including full-time bus captains and engineers.
The effective date of the pay increase for frontline staff will be September 1, while others will receive the pay increase in January based on their annual performance reviews.
The bus company also noted that it will introduce a special leave offer for staff to celebrate the joyous occasion of their children's marriage, after the 24 weeks of full paid maternity and two weeks of full paid paternity leave remuneration package have been in place.
Citybus said even though it has been facing challenges due to inflationary pressures such as rising wage, fuel, and supply chain costs over the past year while the fare has not been increased in line with the costs, it would like to provide a competitive pay rise package to colleagues to reward their dedication and positioning the company for future growth opportunities.
