(Video) Two Teslas collide in road dispute on Tolo Highway

A driver was injured in Tai Po on Sunday afternoon after two Teslas collided while disputing the use of an express lane on Tolo Highway.  

At around 1 pm, a black Tesla was traveling towards Sheung Shui in the express lane when a blue Tesla attempted to merge from the left near Ma Liu Shui Marine Police Base. However, the black Tesla refused to yield, forcing the two vehicles to collide.  

The impact caused the black Tesla to veer right and crash into a stone barrier. It then rebounded into the blue Tesla before crashing back into the barrier, generating a large plume of white smoke.  

The driver of the black Tesla, surnamed Ng, contacted police and was taken to hospital after passing an alcohol breath test. However, the blue Tesla fled the scene before police arrived.  

Ng assisted investigators at the site.

Video of the incident posted online showed both Teslas driving at high speed. It appeared the collision occurred when the blue Tesla tried to cut into the express lane but was blocked by the unwilling black Tesla.  

Online, netizens debated how the aggressive driving and unwillingness to yield either lane seemed to escalate the situation, ultimately resulting in the collision and Ng's injuries. The fate of the blue Tesla driver remains unknown.
