Deputy Secretary for the Civil Service Angelina Cheung Fung Wing-ping will take up the post of Commissioner for Tourism starting August 12, the government announced Friday.
Cheung was Deputy Secretary for Education from April 2012 to October 2017, Deputy Secretary for Home Affairs from October 2017 to August 2020, and has been serving as Deputy Secretary for the Civil Service since August 2020.
The government also announced that Deputy Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Aaron Liu Kong-cheung will take up the post of Director-General of Trade and Industry on August 19.
Another treasury deputy secretary, Maurice Loo Kam-wah, will take up the post of Director of Lands on September 5.
Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung Ho Pui-yan congratulated the trio on their latest appointments, saying they are seasoned administrative officers with proven leadership and management skills.
She also said she is confident that they will continue to serve the community with professionalism in their new posts.
