Five men recorded on video swiftly and illegally landing on Tai O

A video was posted online showing several traffickers landing on a beach in Tai O on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m. yesterday (Jun 12), the police received a report from residents in Tai O stating that they had found several men jumping ashore after reaching the area by boat, suspecting that they had illegally entered Hong Kong.

The police arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation, and found five suspicious South Asian men. 

The men were intercepted and could not provide any valid identification documents, and the five men were arrested for illegal immigration.

The five arrested men included one Bangladeshi, one Indian, and three Pakistanis.

The video of the incident was later posted online, which showed the moment the speed boat arrived and the five men swiftly jumping ashore.

The trafficker swiftly left the area on the boat after dropping them off.

During the incident, there were some people passing by, but the five men tried to act as if nothing was happening and made it through.
