Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin Yeung Yun-hung told a press conference today that the campaign in June will promote hospitality within communities, with everyone in Hong Kong becoming a “Courtesy Ambassador”.
The campaign will cover all 18 districts and involve schools, businesses of all sizes, and various sectors including the transportation industry.
Yeung said the tourism industry and related sectors will collaborate with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to launch innovative promotional efforts, while the board will enhance promotion and training within the industry through its existing network.
Authorities will also mobilize local networks in each district to promote the campaign at the community level.
Schools will also be involved in the campaign to educate students from an early age on the value of being polite and respectful to others, said Yeung.
In addition to exploring Hong Kong, international tourists can take a short ferry ride to the vibrant city of Macao.
