LCSD slams pitch trespassers at Inter Miami Hong Kong open training session

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has strongly criticized the actions of several spectators who disregarded public safety and player security by trespassing onto the pitch during the Tatler XFEST Hong Kong open training session at Hong Kong Stadium.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon and resulted in chaos at the venue. The department issued a statement condemning the behavior and reminding fans to remain in their designated seats for Sunday's match between Inter Miami and a select Hong Kong eleven, which will also take place at the stadium.

In the statement, the department emphasized the importance of adhering to regulations and warned that individuals who violate the rules will face strict consequences. Offenders will be expelled from the stadium and reported to the police. The department is determined to maintain order and ensure the safety of both the public and players.

During the training session, the star-studded Inter Miami squad, including renowned striker Lionel Messi, captivated a large crowd of fans. Former England star and Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham was introduced to the enthusiastic audience before the session, which also featured a community coaching event.

Deputy Chief Secretary Warner Cheuk was present to welcome the Major League Soccer team, expressing his delight at seeing so many football lovers in the stadium.

Fans from both Hong Kong and abroad flocked to the venue to witness the Inter Miami team, which boasts other notable players such as Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.
