One in every 100 Hong Kong senior executives have experienced hallucinations during the pandemic, but less than 9 percent have reached out for professional support, according to a Bupa Global survey.
The insurance company surveyed 500 Hong Kong and 1,031 mainland China senior executives across a range of industries from May to July.
Most of the respondents in the two markets had experienced significant physical and mental health pressures.
Strikingly, 22 percent and 16 percent of Hong Kong and mainland senior executives reported experiencing mental burnout/exhaustion.
More than 95 percent of respondents said that the pandemic had made them reconsider their attitude toward their work and life habits.
