EMSD bans the supply of one induction cooker model in Hong Kong

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) announced on Tuesday they had removed one induction cooker, model 1227 produced by Titan, from the list of listed models under the Energy Efficiency (Labelling of Products) Ordinance.

The supply of such a product is no longer allowed in Hong Kong, with immediate effect.

As the test result of the product concerned showed that it failed to reach the relevant energy efficiency and/or performance characteristics, the EMSD has decided to remove such a product from the list of listed models approved under the ordinance.
