Next year will mark the final hurrah for the Hong Kong Sevens at the city’s iconic Hong Kong Stadium before it moves to the new grounds at Kai Tak Sports Park in 2025, with tickets now selling fast.
The Hong Kong Sevens is set to take place from April 5 to 7 next year at the Hong Kong Stadium, with tickets for the tournament selling fast. Nearly 27,000 tickets were sold after the start of the public ticket sale on December 1
After the first week of public ticket sales - and the tournament’s traditional pre-sales period for members of local rugby clubs and other event stakeholders - over 65 percent of stadium capacity has been taken up with 26,892 tickets sold as of December 13.
“We are excited to be launching a new era of the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens at what promises to be an iconic stadium in its own right at Kai Tak in 2025, but most importantly we are busy preparing to say farewell to the Hong Kong Stadium in true Hong Kong Sevens style in April 2024,” said Hong Kong China Rugby Chairman Chris Brooke.
An adult three-day ticket entitles holders to all 74 matches of sevens action from 30 world-class teams and three non-stop days of entertainment at rugby’s biggest party, which is available for HK$1,950 plus HK$88.5 in handling charges.
Children’s tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at HK$950 plus HK$39 in handling fees. Children’s tickets are available for fans aged 12 and under.
Tickets are available via the official website at www.hksevens.com.
