Man in coma after being hit on head with metal pipe at Tseung Kwan O construction site

A man in his 30s fell unconscious on Friday morning after he was hit on the head by a metal pipe at a Tseung Kwan O construction site.

The man of Southeast Asian descent was working inside the site at Wan Po Road when the accident happened at around 11.38 am.

A water pipe on the site was said to have burst, launching a section of it towards him. The man fell unconscious after being struck on the head.

Paramedics were called to the scene and rushed the man - who was in a semi-conscious state - to hospital.

An investigation is ongoing.
