A worker was hospitalized after his lawn mower suspectedly hit wire netting on a slope in Tsuen Wan and a piece of the metal wire sprang out and accidentally stabbed his left leg.
The incident occurred around 9.24 am on Saturday while he was trimming the lawn on a slope along Yau Ma Hom Road.
The worker couldn’t move and was trapped on the four-meter-high slope. About four inches of the metal wire that impaled the worker’s leg was exposed, according to the work supervisor at the scene.
Firefighters later came to the rescue and sent the worker to Princess Margaret Hospital.
The case was listed an industrial incident.
