The MTR Corporation said the train services from Sheung Shui to Tai Wo are suspended due to “a person on the track” at Fan Ling Station.

It was learned that around 12:57 p.m., police were alerted to Fan Ling Station after a man fell into the tracks and was struck by a train.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man on the tracks, but he was certified dead on site.
The rail giant announced at around 1.05 p.m. that the East Rail Line services are being disrupted, with trains between Admiralty and Tai Wo Station, Sheung Shui to Lok Ma Chau Station, and Sheung Shui to Lo Wu Station operating at 15-minute intervals.
Trains from Admiralty and Fo Tan operated at 8-minute intervals.
Trains from Sheung Shui to Tai Wo were halted entirely due to the incident.
A free shuttle bus service is arranged at affected stations after the service suspension, MTR added.
Passengers were also urged to switch their methods of transportation.
The service gradually resumed about an hour after the incident.
