MTR offers staff pay rise of up to 6.15 percent

The MTR Corporation has offered its employees a salary bump of between 2.05 and 6.15 percent, depending on their performance, while those with excellent working performance will also be handed a special bonus.

The transit firm said the move has taken into account the company's performance, market and economic environment, salary trend survey results, and employee contributions.

It said most employees will be able to enjoy more than a 4.1 percent increase in their salary, while a discretionary bonus will also be offered to eligible employees.

Meanwhile, several work-related allowances, including laundry allowance, Lunar New Year holiday meal allowance, typhoon meal allowance, night shift duty allowance, and fixed allowances for certain job grades, will also be adjusted.
