Family and friends mourn dismembered model Abby Choi in private memorial ceremony

A private memorial ceremony for the dismembered model Abby Choi Tin-fung was held today in Tai Wai, with hundreds of relatives and friends gathered at a memorial hall to pay their final respects.

The vigil took place at Po Fook Memorial Hall, adhering to Buddhist traditions. 

Choi's remains will be sent to the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island for cremation on Monday (June 19). 

It was reported that Choi's family spent over HK$3 million for the memorial services and the funeral, including having her face and body recreated using 3D printing technology to give her a proper funeral. 

The murder of the 28-year-old influencer shocked the world after parts of her remains were found in a village house in Tai Po in February.
