A 66-year-old man died after he suffered from heat stroke and passed out when working on the scaffolding at the Chinese University of Hong Kong on Saturday afternoon, as the mercury once hit 34 degree Celsius.

A report was filed to police at 2.48 pm by the man’s colleague, who found the man had collapsed and remained unconscious, suspectedly suffering from heat stroke.
The man was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital but was eventually pronounced dead.
Police investigation is now ongoing.
It marked the first fatal incident ever since the Labor Department introduced a three-tier heat warning system on May 15.
Today, the first Amber Heat Street at Work Warning was issued at 11.50 am and was canceled two hours later. The second alert started from 2 pm to 3 pm, and the third alert from 3.20 pm to 4.20 pm.
