A male passenger fell onto the track at MTR Tai Wai Station of the East Rail Line, causing the train service to be disrupted, with it gradually recovering by 12 pm on Wednesday morning, according to MTR Corporation.

It is learned that the accident occurred at around 10:50 am this morning.
The fallen male was saved from the track by rescuers who rushed to the scene, but he was later certified dead at around 11:17 am.
Kowloon Tong Station and Sha Tin Station changes of the East Rail Line were each suspended for around one hour.
The falling marked the third MTR incident that occurred in the past month, following over 1,500 passengers who were evacuated during a train incident at MTR Tseung Kwan O Station on Monday morning and a derailing train incident at MTR Kwun Tong Line on November 13.
