Workers evacuated from Tsim Sha Tsui construction site after scaffold fire

Some 50 workers at a construction site on Minden Row were evacuated on Wednesday morning when a fire broke out on some scaffolding.

Police said they have received reports of the fire that broke out on scaffolding erected on the eighth floor of the site at 10.36am this morning.

The Fire Services Department mobilized one breathing-apparatus teams and one water jet to fight the blaze.  

The fire is now out and there are no reports of injuries at this time.

A police spokesman said an investigation will take place to establish the cause.
