Authorities locked down Lai Tong House, Lai Tsui Court in Cheung Sha Wan and Tin Hee House, Tin Ping Estate in Sheung Shui from Wednesday afternoon after sewage samples from the buildings tested positive for Covid.

All residents at Lai Tong House must get tested by 11 pm on Wednesday, as authorities target to complete the operation by 1 pm on Thursday.
Residents at Tin Hee House must get tested by Thursday midnight, as authorities target to unseal the block at 3 pm on Thursday.
According to the compulsory testing notice, any person who had been present at the above buildings for more than two hours from February 10 to 23, even if they were not present in them at the time when the declaration took effect, must undergo compulsory testing on or before Friday (Feb 25).
In addition, some 160 preliminary positive cases were detected at Heng Fung House in Heng On Estate in Ma On Shan after the building was locked down on Tuesday afternoon.
Residents who tested negative were allowed to leave the building starting at 2.30 pm on Wednesday.
The lockdown was declared there as preliminary positive cases had been previously detected and the sewage samples discharged tested positive for the coronavirus.
As of 10 pm Tuesday, around 2,100 residents had undergone testing and some 160 among them tested preliminarily positive for Covid-19. The results for around 15 residents returned indeterminate.
The government also sent staffers to visit around 810 households door-to-door, of which 50 didn't answer.
Authorities reminded citizens who had been to Heng Fung House for more than two hours between February 9 and Tuesday (Feb 22) to undergo compulsory testing by tomorrow (Feb 24).
