Lam said Chan will discuss with her after the consultation and draw up a complete plan.
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority, together with the Banking Sector SME Lending Coordination Mechanism, recently announced a further 90-day repayment deferment for trade facilities under the Pre-approved Principal Payment Holiday Scheme until the end of April.
Finance sector lawmaker Chan Chun-ying said the tightening of social distance measures since last Friday, including dine-in bans after 6pm and premises closure, has caused heavy losses to many sectors.
He was concerned whether the government would consider extending the repayment period further and lowering the repayment ratio under the exit mechanism.
Lam said she could not give a definite answer at the moment but said she would ask Chan to consider the suggestions.
