The restaurant and function venue, The Millions, at Happy Valley Racecourse has been closed for deep cleaning after three people who attended a wedding there tested positive for Covid-19.
According to the Centre for Health Protection, one guest who was confirmed to have Covid-19 on January 9 and two people who tested preliminary positive on January 10 visited The Millions on 3/F of Happy Valley Stand on January 1.
The three were attending a wedding at The Millions of Happy Valley Stand that evening, unrelated to the horse racing.
A club spokesman said it had taken immediate actions to track the visiting records of the patients and other members, customers, and employees within the premises during the same period.
It was said to have successfully identified the member who made the venue booking and reminded the person to inform other guests.
"The club has also identified those employees who have served in the premises that day," the spokesman said. "We have arranged for them to take Covid-19 tests, and they will not be rostered for duties until negative results are returned."
He added that despite January 1 being a race day, the races were conducted at the Sha Tin Racecourse.
The club said that the Millions will be closed for deep cleansing on Tuesday until further notice. The Six Furlong Express service there will also be suspended.
