A 36-year-old mother was arrested on Wednesday after her two-year-old son in diapers nearly fell from a Lam Tin building.

At 4pm Tuesday, a toddler climbed out of a window from his home on the fourth floor of Yan Tin House, Hing Tin Estate. He got stuck in a clothing rack that was attached to the building's side and screamed.
The mother, alarmed by his crying, came to his rescue and dragged him back into the flat.
The toddler hurt his back and was admitted to United Christian Hospital.
After preliminary investigation, police on Wednesday arrested the 36-year-old mother surnamed Wong for neglecting a child under her care.
Wong has been released on bail and she will have to report to police in late-November. The case is now handled by Kwun Tong district crime unit.
Many pedestrians captured the nerve-wracking moment when the toddler was hanging mid-air, and uploaded the videos onto the internet.
They also shouted, trying to alert the toddler's family members of the danger he was in.
