The bus driver was said to have confronted the driver of a white Mercedes-Benz sedan who allegedly brake-checked the bus, nearly causing a rear-end collision.
According to video footage uploaded online, the bus driver stood in front of the sedan after the incident, wanting to talk to the driver of the sedan.
The sedan driver then exited his vehicle and quarrelled with the bus driver before he attacked him. The bus driver was repeatedly punched and kicked as he cowered on the ground.
Other drivers and passersby stepped in and stopped the beating.
Police later responded to the scene, arresting the sedan driver for common assault. The 33-year-old bus driver was brought to Kwong Wah Hospital after reporting back pain and bruises on his right wrist.
