“Inspiration of Hong Kong” photo exhibition kicks off today at Olympian City in West Kowloon. It is an enlivening showcase of precious historical photos that has vividly captured the city’s sports developments since the 1930s, with Hong Kong athletes shining in international competitions. The exhibition, which will be held until October 3, also features engaging interactive sports games, 3D IInstagrammable spots, scientific sports innovations and sharing sessions with top athletes.
The spotlight of the opening ceremony is on wheelchair fencer and winner of seven Paralympic gold medals Alison Yu Chui-yee, who hailed the first live broadcast of the Games in Hong Kong, and hopes that Hong Kong people will continue to support their athletes in the Paris Olympics in three years’ time.
The “Inspiration of Hong Kong” photo exhibition is organized by Our Hong Kong Foundation and Hong Kong Chronicles Institute; supported by the Home Affairs Bureau, Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, Hong Kong Paralympic Committee and Sports Association for the Physically Disabled, and Hong Kong Sports Institute; and sponsored by Sino Group.
