One man died and another man went missing after they fell from a speedboat off Lung Kwu Tan in Tuen Mun in a suspected smuggling case.

Police arrested two women on the same boat for illegal entry into Hong Kong and assisting such actions. At around 00.50am, police received a report from a woman saying a man had gone missing while swimming in Lung Kwu Tan at night.
Upon arriving at the scene, rescuers found a seven-meter speedboat without a registration number on the shore. A man with a tattooed arm was on it, already dead.
Two women were found at the scene, including the woman who made the report to police. The other woman did not have any identification documents on her.
One woman claimed she took the speedboat with her boyfriend and another couple, and her boyfriend and the other man had gone swimming. The first went missing and the other became unconscious after being rescued. He later died.
Divers and a government helicopter continued the search through the night, but police harbored suspicions regarding the swimming story.
Following an initial investigation, police arrested the woman who made the report for assisting illegal entry into Hong Kong. She was sent to hospital while carrying a big LV bag. The other woman was arrested for illegal entry and was taken to a police station.
Rescuers removed the man who was found dead on the speedboat.
