A New Territories taxi, commonly known as green taxi, was filmed driving against traffic in Tin Shui Wai earlier, with netizens slamming the driver for making such a rookie mistake.
In a Facebook post on a driver’s community group on Tuesday, a camera footage shows a taxi driving against traffic on Hung Tin Road, facing oncoming vehicles.
Vehicles in the right direction were seen swerving left and cutting lanes to avoid a head-on collision with the taxi.
The video had attracted netizens’ anger, with some questioning how did the taxi driver get his driving license.
“Even if the driver is not familiar with the area, he should be able to tell where he should go from road signs and road marks! There is no way he could have got himself into such a situation!” A netizen wrote.
While another Facebook user said he was in shock seeing the rookie driver still insisting to drive against traffic rather than turning around.
