[Video] It’s ‘raining’ in Kai Tak MTR station

A flush water pipe on the ceiling of Kai Tak MTR station has burst in the early hours on Monday, soaking the station floor.

The MTR Corp said around 2.45am on Monday, water began to leak from the ceiling near Exit A at Kai Tak, soaking the station floor and the nearby gates.

The railway added that the incident was not caused by the heavy rain, and said that station operations were not affected despite a small amount of water was still found dripping from the ceiling.

Kai Tak station on the Tuen Ma Line was opened not long ago on February 14, being one of the first two stations to commence services on the new line.
