As consumers gear up for the receipt of government’s HK$5,000 electronic vouchers designed to boost local spending and accelerate economic recovery, local businesses and retailers are devising promotional campaigns coupled with e-commerce to take advantage of the scheme worth a whopping HK$36 billion.
To entice consumers, three major shopping malls – ELEMENTS, Plaza Hollywood, and Landmark North – are rolling out exciting rewards and stepping up their online platforms to maximize on the expected bonanza in trade.
ELEMENTS at West Kowloon is presenting ‘Refreshing Rewards’ and ‘BLOOM Rewards’ along with a series of fabulous offers. The ‘Refreshing Rewards’, available from now to June 27, takes customers’ shopping experience to the next level with two exceptional rewards worth up to HK$3,500 and a total rebate of up to 110%.
Customers spending HK$2,000 by electronic payment on the day will be presented with a reward valued at HK$2,000, while those with same-day electronic spending of HK$10,000 will receive a reward valued at HK$3,500.
In addition, ELEMENTS has partnered with Visa Hong Kong, ZA Bank and cross-mall cash rebate mobile app BLOOM to bring customers an exclusive ‘BLOOM Rewards’, available until June 20.
To qualify for the Rewards totalling HK$2,000, customers need to make eligible spending of HK$2,000 (in a single transaction) at the mall using a ZA Card or other Visa Card that is linked to the BLOOM App. Customers who spend with a ZA Card will enjoy an additional HK$250 cash rebate, while those spending with other Visa Card will receive an extra HK$100 ELEMENTS gift voucher. During the promotion period, BLOOM members who register as friends of ELEMENT will earn a HK$50 gift voucher.
Dedicated to giving customers a hassle-free shopping experience at home, Plaza Hollywood unveils a brand new online platform ‘eshop’ to distribute e-cash vouchers totalling HK$1,200,000 in four weeks.
Starting from May 13, Plaza Hollywood's VIC Club members or temporary members can log in to the platform to purchase the HK$100 e-cash vouchers and popular items at up to 90% off. Featuring 80 brands, the e-cash voucher will be sold in four phases every Thursday, on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last. Each phase will include 20 brands, with the first one covering brands like Uniqlo, H&M, Nike and Sabon, etc.
Aside from the attractive e-shopping offers, a series of rewards also awaits at the mall. From now until May 30, a ‘Spring Rewards’ will be held on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Customers spending HK$800 by electronic payment or VIC members with 80 points, can redeem a shopping and dining voucher valued at HK$200. Also, from now to November 30, customers spending more than HK$30 at designated restaurants with the receipt enjoy a HK$20 discount when buying a movie ticket at the Hollywood cinema.
Buiding on its previous success in the thanksgiving event, the Landmark North is bringing back the ‘Shopping Fest summer thanksgiving festival’, starting from May 14 to July 4.
The ‘Crazy sale week’ will be launched in two phases to present more than 30,000 hot items at up to 90% off. The first phase includes a number of beauty products and the second phase comprises popular sports brands.
On two consecutive Fridays, May 14 and 21, The Point, Sun Hung Kai Properties’ member platform, will release more than 3,000 e-cash vouchers for customers to reserve online and spend at the mall. Over 55 brands have joined the event, and members of The Point can redeem HK$150 e-cash and dining vouchers with 500 points which are applicable at designated tenants.
