IKEA, the Swedish furniture giant, will not be able to operate as usual as part of its check out system is still under technical issues, after suspending its services for a whole day yesterday.
The four IKEA stores in Hong Kong located at Causeway Bay, Kowloon Bay, Shatin, and Tsuen Wan are unavailable for shoppers yesterday, according to reports.
The company’s website wrote, “Unfortunately, we have some technical difficulties with our check-out counters, purchasing of furniture items and refund/returns services are currently unavailable at our stores.”
The online store of IKEA is also affected with purchasing from the online shopping cart unavailable, but people can still browse through their products online.
IKEA apologized for the inconvenience and stated it is working to get it fixed as soon as possible.
