Hong Kong puts UK on list of high risk countries

Hong Kong has added the UK to a list of high-risk countries from the National Day holiday.

This would require travelers from the UK to take a coronavirus test within 72 hours before boarding flights to Hong Kong. They must also have a hotel booking for 14 days for serving quarantine requirements.

Travelers can proceed to their hotel if they test negative for the coronavirus at the temporary specimen collection center at the airport. Those testing positive will be sent to hospital for isolation and management.

Currently, passengers from 10 countries are already subject to these rules. They include Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa and the US.-The RTHK/The Standard. Photo: Sky News
