HK shares pull back by midday

Hong Kong shares eroded some gains by midday on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index inched up 47 points, or 0.18 percent, to 25,848. 

The turnover recorded HK$87.2 billion at the midday break.

The Hang Seng Tech Index edged down by 0.42 percent to 5,503, while the China Enterprises Index went up 0.11 percent to 8,949.
