Chinese autonomous driving firms WeRide and Pony.ai reported different retail investor responses ahead of their Thursday trading debut.

WeRide priced its shares at HK$27.10 per share, raising net proceeds of about HK$2.26 billion. The company saw its retail tranche oversubscribed by 72.44 times, with a 6.64 percent allocation rate for one lot of 100 shares.
Its rival Pony.ai, which priced its shares at HK$139 each to report net proceeds worth about HK$6.45 billion, recorded more modest retail interest with 14.88 times oversubscription and a 55 percent allocation rate for one-lot applicants.
