HK opens its own Jurassic Park

Children can see their favorite dinosaurs at New Town Plaza in Sha Tin as the 35,000-square feet Dino Park will open on October 1.

Dino Park, built by Sun Hung Kai Properties for over HK$10 million, is the first and largest dinosaur-themed outdoor playground. The park is an important milestone for the mall's HK$3 billion comprehensive revitalization project that began in 2020.

The mall is investing an additional HK$5 million to promote the park, planning its opening to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Days holidays.

Visitors can enjoy a 10-meter-long inflatable dinosaur set-up, Dino dance flash mob performance and will be given dinosaur lanterns.

Customers will want to make use of the "Night-time Triple Rewards" offer, a measure to boost spending after 8pm. Dining and shopping promotions will also be offered in partnership with merchants on Sunday.

The mall expects to see a 15 percent and 20 percent increase in footfall and sales respectively over the golden week holidays.
